The software kept failing and sending error reports to Microsoft. My son, who had waited five days for this to come in, was heartbroken.We are just going to throw it out. One was used for about six months. Don't let your kids buy it. Even if the software worked, the hardware not locking into the DS is a show stopper.
Don't buy it. My son held it in place as the DS is sprung to push it out. I tried it on two laptops. Its Junk.All in all, the worst piece of game software I have ever seen. AVOID.
The dongle does not stay in the DS. The other is nearly new with a fresh install and complete updates.

I started notcing it would take longer and longer to update and each time the AR would not work as well the codes would work but it mite freez your ds and that makes it run slower. i have had my action replay for about 2 years and i found it to be a a good thing for a bout 2 to 4 months if you do not update it i updated it all the time, but update it often enough so its not always behind. So all it was not worth the money you pay for in my experence.
This is a kid's review.I am very impressed by the ards(action replay ds).It helped me beat pokemon platnum in three days.The people who say they got shipped the wrong drivers are not right,maybe.I might have just gotten lucky.(before I bought it I read the reviews).On pokemon platnum I had 900 master balls.safari balls,dusk balls.etc.I also had 99 tms/hms.I almost thought I got shipped the wrong drivers but I did'nt get shipped the wrong drivers.
P.S. If you cant find one of the pieces, its most likely in the back of the case hiding. even if you don't like to cheat you can always create a file where you don't cheat (if the game lets you). I got mine almost a year ago and it's only froze about 3-5 times. The only problem is every month or so it freezes or doesn't respond. This is great I love it. However, as long as you save your game every 20 minutes, its definitly worth beating that almost impossible boss or getting perfect scores and unlocking every character. I highly suggest buying this but if you want to add/ subtract games make sure you have a fast computer at the ready.
